Ms. BALDWIN submitted an amendment intended to be proposed by her to the bill S. 4784, to authorize appropriations for fiscal year 2027 for military activities of the Department of Defense, for military construction, and for defense activities of the Department of Energy, to prescribe military personnel strengths for such fiscal year, and for other purposes; which was ordered to lie on the table; as follows: At the appropriate place in title VIII, insert the following: SEC. 8____. REQUIREMENT THAT CERTAIN SHIP COMPONENTS BE MANUFACTURED IN THE NATIONAL TECHNOLOGY AND INDUSTRIAL BASE. Section 4864(a) of title 10, United States Code, is amended-- (1) in paragraph (2), by adding at the end the following: ``(G) Auxiliary equipment, including pumps, for all shipboard services. ``(H) Propulsion system components, including engines, shafting, reduction gears, and propellers. ``(I) Shipboard cranes. ``(J) Spreaders for shipboard cranes. ``(K) Air circuit breakers. ``(L) Auxiliary chill water systems.''; (2) by striking paragraph (4); and (3) by redesignating paragraph (5) as paragraph (4). ______
