Mr. HICKENLOOPER submitted an amendment intended to be proposed by him to the bill S. 2, to provide for reconciliation pursuant to title II of S. Con. Res. 33; which was ordered to lie on the table; as follows: Strike section 102 and insert the following: SEC. 102. REIMBURSEMENT OF CONSUMERS AND SMALL BUSINESSES FOR INCREASED COSTS AS A RESULT OF TARIFFS IMPOSED BY THE PRESIDENT. In addition to amounts otherwise available, there is appropriated to the Secretary of Homeland Security for fiscal year 2026, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, $2,500,000,000, to remain available until September 30, 2029, to reimburse consumers and small businesses for increased costs caused by tariffs imposed by the President. ______
