HONORING EVA WOODBY

Congressional Record, Volume 172 Issue 76 (Thursday, April 30, 2026) [Congressional Record Volume 172, Number 76 (Thursday, April 30, 2026)] [House] [Pages H3298-H3299] From the Congressional Record Online through the Government Publishing Office [ www.gpo.gov ] HONORING EVA WOODBY (Mrs. KIM asked and was given permission to address the House for 1 minute and to revise and extend her remarks.) Mrs. KIM. Mr. Speaker, I rise today to honor my dear friend, Eva Woodby, who recently passed away, and I send my deepest condolences to her devoted husband, Alex Yu, and family. Eva lived the American Dream. She came to the United States as a student with nothing and worked tirelessly to build a very successful business. No matter how much she achieved, she never stopped giving back or lifting others up. [[Page H3299]] Even when her business struggled during COVID and as she battled late-stage cancer, Eva never gave up. She faced every challenge with strength, dignity, and determination. Her life was not defined by hardship, but by courage and resilience. She showed all of us what it means to keep moving forward, no matter the odds. I am very grateful for Eva's friendship, and I will strive to live up to the example she set every single day. ____________________
