Mr. HEINRICH submitted an amendment intended to be proposed by him to the bill S. 2, to provide for reconciliation pursuant to title II of S. Con. Res. 33.; which was ordered to lie on the table; as follows: At the appropriate place in title I, insert the following: SEC. __. APPROPRIATION FOR DETERRING EXTREMIST VIOLENCE. (a) In General.--In addition to amounts otherwise available, there is appropriated to the Secretary of Homeland Security for fiscal year 2026, out of amounts in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, $200,000,000 to remain available until September 30, 2029, for the Department of Homeland Security to monitor and investigate white nationalist propaganda networks and collaborate with law enforcement partners to deter extremist violence. (b) Reduction in Funds.--Notwithstanding section 102, the amount appropriated under that section shall be $7,250,000,000. ______
