Ms. HIRONO submitted an amendment intended to be proposed by her to the bill S. 1383, to establish the Veterans Advisory Committee on Equal Access, and for other purposes; which was ordered to lie on the table; as follows: Strike all after the enacting clause and insert the following: SECTION 1. APPROPRIATIONS FOR EDUCATION. (a) Appropriations for Elementary and Secondary Education.--There are authorized to be appropriated, and there are appropriated, out of funds in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, $37,000,000,000, to carry out part A of title I of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 (20 U.S.C. 6311 et seq.). (b) Appropriations for the Individuals With Disabilities Education Act.--There are authorized to be appropriated, and there are appropriated, out of funds in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, $29,000,000,000 to carry out part B of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (20 U.S.C. 1411 et seq.). ______
