HONORING MAYOR FREDDY PUZA

Congressional Record, Volume 172 Issue 9 (Tuesday, January 13, 2026) [Congressional Record Volume 172, Number 9 (Tuesday, January 13, 2026)] [Extensions of Remarks] [Page E31] From the Congressional Record Online through the Government Publishing Office [ www.gpo.gov ] HONORING MAYOR FREDDY PUZA ______ HON. SYDNEY KAMLAGER-DOVE of california in the house of representatives Tuesday, January 13, 2026 Ms. KAMLAGER-DOVE. Mr. Speaker, I rise today to honor the new mayor of Culver City in my district, Freddy Puza. First as a Councilmember and most recently as Vice Mayor, Freddy has relentlessly fought for a more inclusive, vibrant, and equitable Culver City. His unwavering leadership and compassion are exactly what Culver City deserves in its next mayor. His accession to Mayor represents visibility, dignity, and hope that extend far beyond the boundaries of my district. As the first openly gay Mayor in Culver City's 108-year history, he paves the way for future generations of LGBTQ+ youth to see themselves reflected in public service and civic life. I look forward to working alongside Mayor Puza as we serve the Culver City community together in the year ahead. ____________________
