RECOGNIZING DYLLON LEAB OF WREC

Congressional Record, Volume 172 Issue 152 (Thursday, September 24, 2026) [Congressional Record Volume 172, Number 152 (Thursday, September 24, 2026)] [Extensions of Remarks] [Page E982] From the Congressional Record Online through the Government Publishing Office [ www.gpo.gov ] RECOGNIZING DYLLON LEAB OF WREC ______ HON. GUS M. BILIRAKIS of florida in the house of representatives Thursday, September 24, 2026 Mr. BILIRAKIS. Mr. Speaker, I rise today to recognize Mr. Dyllon Leab, an OPC Lineman with Withlacoochee River Electric Cooperative (WREC), for his exceptional service as part of WREC's second mission supporting the Light Up Navajo Project. The Light Up Navajo initiative relies on skilled utility professionals who volunteer their expertise to help extend electrical service to Navajo families who have lived without power for generations. Mr. Leab answered that call, using his training and experience as a lineman to help perform the difficult work necessary to bring reliable electricity to families in need. The impact of this work extends far beyond electrical infrastructure. Reliable power allows children to study after dark, enables families to safely store food and medicine, and gives elders greater comfort and security in their homes. It brings greater opportunity and improves quality of life. Mr. Leab's participation in this mission demonstrates both technical skill and a genuine commitment to helping others. His willingness to put his abilities to work far from home embodies the cooperative tradition of neighbors helping neighbors. I commend Mr. Dyllon Leab for his dedication, professionalism, and spirit of service. His contribution to Light Up Navajo reflects great credit upon WREC and the community we are proud to call home. ____________________
