Congressional Record, Volume 172 Issue 152 (Thursday, September 24, 2026) [Congressional Record Volume 172, Number 152 (Thursday, September 24, 2026)] [Extensions of Remarks] [Pages E976-E977] From the Congressional Record Online through the Government Publishing Office [ www.gpo.gov ] HONORING THE LIFE AND LEGACY OF LYNETTE VILLANO ______ HON. ROBERT P. BRESNAHAN, JR. of pennsylvania in the house of representatives Thursday, September 24, 2026 Mr. BRESNAHAN. Mr. Speaker, I rise to honor Lynette Villano, a cherished member of the Luzerne County community and lifelong northeastern Pennsylvanian who passed away last month. Lynette was born in Wilkes-Barre and spent the majority of her life in West Pittston, where she was an avid member of the community. [[Page E977]] From the West Pittston Community Pool to West Pittston Little League to local volunteering and fundraising, Lynette was known and loved by many for her loyalty. She was also incredibly involved in the political community, serving as the first female chair of the Luzerne County Republican Committee. You could not be involved in NEPA politics without knowing Lynette. Lynette fought a courageous battle with breast cancer and will be remembered for her strength and kindness. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, the West Pittston community, and all who she knew throughout Luzerne County. ____________________
