HUGE WIN for SC Fishermen

In a major win for South Carolina fishermen, President Trump APPROVED new state permits for the 2026 red snapper fishing season. Earlier this year, I was proud to sign onto a letter giving South Carolina greater control over our waters, pushing back against years of federal mismanagement and bringing a more accountable, locally-driven approach to put our fishermen first. This means a LONGER fishing season for South Carolinians, North Carolinians, Georgians, and Floridians, with FEWER FEDERAL LIMITS, and expanded control over their waters. The Biden-Harris administration tried to shut down our oceans. Starting July 1st, South Carolina’s season will last 62 days. Thank you President Donald J. Trump for making this happen and putting fishers first. Time to get fishing!! 🎣
