Ms. MURKOWSKI submitted an amendment intended to be proposed by her to the bill S. 4784, to authorize appropriations for fiscal year 2027 for military activities of the Department of Defense, for military construction, and for defense activities of the Department of Energy, to prescribe military personnel strengths for such fiscal year, and for other purposes; which was ordered to lie on the table; as follows: At the appropriate place in title VII, insert the following: SEC. 7___. PILOT PROGRAM ON DESIGNATION OF PREGNANCY AS QUALIFYING LIFE EVENT UNDER TRICARE PROGRAM. (a) In General.--The Secretary of Defense shall carry out a pilot program under which the Secretary designates pregnancy as a qualifying life event for purposes of enrollment or modification of enrollment in a health plan option under the TRICARE program. (b) Duration.--The Secretary shall carry out the pilot program under subsection (a) for a period of not less than five years. (c) TRICARE Program Defined.--In this section, the term ``TRICARE program'' has the meaning given that term in section 1072 of title 10, United States Code. ______
