TIM BURCHETT of tennessee in the house of representatives Thursday, October 15, 2026 Mr. BURCHETT. Mr. Speaker, I rise to honor the exceptional career of news anchor Lori Tucker. For 30 years, she has dedicated her career to informing the people of East Tennessee. After stints as a reporter and anchor in San Antonio, Houston, and Little Rock, Lori settled in Knoxville. For those of us who live in East Tennessee, she is recognizable as the face of Channel 6's nightly news broadcasts. Over several decades, she has been notable for doing good through her reporting. She founded the ``Project Grad Telethon'' to raise money for college and trade-school bound students, for which she won the ``Caught Doing Right for Kids'' Award. Lori has also been praised for her medical reporting, specifically her educational stories on cancer. Along with her evening news team, she was the recipient of the Edward R. Murrow Award. Outside of her work, Lori is a member of the Executive Women's Association of Knoxville and graduate of the Leadership Knoxville Class of 1998. I wish her well in her much-deserved retirement, where she no doubt will enjoy spending time with her husband Steve, her two daughters, and her grandchildren. ____________________
