Congressional Record, Volume 172 Issue 146 (Wednesday, September 16, 2026) [Congressional Record Volume 172, Number 146 (Wednesday, September 16, 2026)] [House] [Page H5963] From the Congressional Record Online through the Government Publishing Office [ www.gpo.gov ] {time} 1930 HONORING HARRIET JANE FRIIS (Mr. CORREA asked and was given permission to address the House for 1 minute.) Mr. CORREA. Mr. Speaker, I rise to honor the life of Harriet Jane Friis, who recently passed away at the age of 94. Harriet was an Orange County native and a resident of the city of Orange. Harriet worked as a librarian at the Long Beach Public Library and had a passion for history. Harriet was active in the community as a member of the Orange County Historical Society and at the Trinity Episcopal Church's senior group, yet her most popular contribution was her citrus punch, which garnered praise and support from all who tried it. Today, I ask my colleagues to join me in remembering Ms. Friis and appreciate her contributions to our communities. We will remember Harriet. ____________________
