Lee Asks HHS to Cut Red Tape for Life-Saving Diabetes Treatment

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Mike Lee (R-UT) called on the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to cut red tape around life-saving diabetes treatment. Building on the framework of Senator Lee’s ISLET Act, the letter urges HHS to reclassify islets to facilitate their use in treatment for Americans with diabetes.
