Internships Internships Image admin Fri, 01/03/2025 - 18:02 Washington, DC My Washington, DC office and Lynchburg District Office offer internship opportunities for students each semester. Each internship is a paid opportunity and runs throughout the Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters for college students and recent college graduates. Responsibilities will typically include: Answering phone calls for our constituents Researching legislation for the Member and legislative staff Attending hearings and briefings Answering constituent letters on various issues before the House Guiding Capitol tours Writing letters, and assisting with office management Other responsibilities as assigned Interns will learn about the legislative process and the many other functions of a Congressional Office. The internship sessions are as follows: Fall Session: Mid-August to mid-December Spring Session: Early January to early May Summer Session: Mid-May to Mid-August - APPLICATIONS ARE NOW CLOSED Applications to intern in our office are ongoing.
