LaHood Statement on Phase One of the Israel Hamas Peace Deal

Washington, D.C. - Congressman Darin LaHood (IL-16) released the following statement on Israel and Hamas agreeing to phase one of a peace deal: "The announcement that Israel and Hamas have agreed to the first phase of a peace deal and the long-overdue release of all hostages marks a significant step towards stability in the region," said Rep. LaHood "I am grateful for President Trump and Secretary Rubio's leadership and tireless efforts to negotiate this deal, once again proving that peace through strength is the most effective approach to foreign policy. We must continue to work with our allies to ensure that this agreement is upheld as we move towards lasting peace in the Middle East." ###
