CELEBRATING THE 100TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE BAKER FUNERAL HOME

Congressional Record, Volume 172 Issue 161 (Thursday, October 15, 2026) [Congressional Record Volume 172, Number 161 (Thursday, October 15, 2026)] [Extensions of Remarks] [Page E1092] From the Congressional Record Online through the Government Publishing Office [ www.gpo.gov ] CELEBRATING THE 100TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE BAKER FUNERAL HOME ______ HON. CRAIG A. GOLDMAN of texas in the house of representatives Thursday, October 15, 2026 Mr. GOLDMAN of Texas. Mr. Speaker, I rise today to recognize Baker Funeral Home on the extraordinary occasion of its 100th anniversary. For a full century, Baker Funeral Home has been a trusted part of the Fort Worth community, providing comfort and compassionate service to families during some of life's most difficult moments. Founded in 1917, the funeral home has grown alongside the community it serves while remaining committed to the values of family, faith, service, and perseverance. For generations, families have entrusted Baker Funeral Home with the care of their loved ones, knowing they will be treated with dignity, compassion, and respect. The Baker family's impact extends far beyond their work as funeral professionals. Over the past 100 years, they have created businesses, supported community institutions, provided essential services, and helped open doors of opportunity for generations of Fort Worth residents. Their longstanding presence is woven into the history and character of the community. What makes this milestone especially meaningful is the continuity of the Baker family's legacy. Multiple generations have dedicated themselves to the funeral home and to the families who rely on its services. Through periods of tremendous change in Fort Worth, the Baker family has remained a constant presence, demonstrating the lasting impact that a family-owned business can have when it is rooted in service to its community. Reaching a 100-year milestone is a remarkable achievement for any organization. Reaching it while remaining family-owned and deeply committed to the people it serves is an especially meaningful accomplishment. On behalf of the 12th Congressional District of Texas, I am proud to recognize the Baker Funeral Home for their 100th Anniversary. I congratulate them on this exciting milestone and wish them continued success in the years to come. ____________________
