WASHINGTON, D.C. - U.S. Congressman Michael R. Turner (OH-10) today pressed upon the urgency of modernizing the U.S. nuclear weapons and developing a comprehensive missile defense system to Department of Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth during a House Armed Services Committee budget hearing. Background: Turner has long argued for greater federal investments in modernizing the U.S. nuclear arsenal and developing a comprehensive missile defense strategy , citing growing threats posed by China, Russia, Iran, and North Korea.
