HONORING LIFE OF THOMAS "WALKER" LEMAY

Congressional Record, Volume 172 Issue 72 (Thursday, April 23, 2026) [Congressional Record Volume 172, Number 72 (Thursday, April 23, 2026)] [House] [Page H3078] From the Congressional Record Online through the Government Publishing Office [ www.gpo.gov ] HONORING LIFE OF THOMAS ``WALKER'' LEMAY (Mr. BRECHEEN asked and was given permission to address the House for 1 minute and to revise and extend his remarks.) Mr. BRECHEEN. Mr. Speaker, I rise today to honor the life of Le Flore County Deputy Thomas ``Walker'' LeMay, who was shot and killed in the line of duty on Sunday, April 19, 2026. As we all know: Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one's life for one's friends. Walker's sacrifice while upholding his duty to protect the citizens of Le Flore County will be long remembered. My words can't fully convey our gratitude for the safety and comfort in our homes that these brave police officers provide. Believing in the Psalms 34 promise that the Lord is near to the brokenhearted, may Deputy LeMay's family, friends, and colleagues find the peace that surpasses understanding even in the midst of their grief. ____________________
