McConnell on 25th Anniversary of 9/11 Attacks

... But on top of remembrance and sympathy rests another national responsibility every bit as important: to give weight to the words Never Again. From the smoke and rubble of 9/11 came lessons about the fragility of our nation’s security and what it takes to preserve it. We paid for these lessons with thousands of precious American lives. If we are still resolved never again to pay such a price, we must look with clear eyes at a dangerous world and redouble our efforts to outcompete those who would do us harm.
