President Trump’s Budget Continues to Put America First

WASHINGTON — Speaker Johnson released the following statement on President Trump’s proposed budget for Fiscal Year 2027: “President Trump’s proposed budget for FY27 fulfills Republicans’ commitment to restore fiscal sanity, reduce waste, fraud, and abuse in Washington, make our streets and neighborhoods safe again, and further ignite the American dream. These are the things we ran on and that the American people voted for. "Despite inheriting a disaster from the Biden Administration across all areas of public policy, in just one year, Republicans have made the most significant step ever towards fixing our country’s balance sheet by rescinding billions of dollars in reckless Democrat spending, securing our border and locking up violent criminals, driving down costs, and codifying monumental tax relief for working families, seniors, farmers and rural communities, and small businesses. This proposed budget builds off President Trump and Republicans’ America First policies, which have quickly restored sanity, prioritized the security of our citizens, and delivered relief for American families.” ###
