Madam President, I ask unanimous consent that when the Senate completes its business today, it stand adjourned until 10 a.m. on Tuesday, May 19; that following the prayer and pledge, the Journal of proceedings be approved to date, the morning hour be deemed expired, the time for the two leaders be reserved for their use later in the day, morning business be closed, and the Senate proceed to executive session to resume consideration of the Clarke nomination; further, that notwithstanding rule XXII, the cloture motions filed on May 14 ripen at 11:45 a.m. and that if cloture is invoked on the Clarke nomination, then, following that vote, the Senate recess for the weekly conference meetings until 2 p.m. and the Senate vote on confirmation of the nomination at 2:15 p.m.; and, finally, that if any nominations are confirmed during Tuesday's session of the Senate, the motions to reconsider be considered made and laid upon the table and the President be immediately notified of the Senate's actions. The PRESIDING OFFICER. Without objection, it is so ordered. Mrs. MOODY. Madam President, for the information of my colleagues, we expect to vote in relation to S.J. Res. 185 tomorrow afternoon. ____________________
