Mrs. SHAHEEN submitted an amendment intended to be proposed by her to the bill S. 4784, to authorize appropriations for fiscal year 2027 for military activities of the Department of Defense, for military construction, and for defense activities of the Department of Energy, to prescribe military personnel strengths for such fiscal year, and for other purposes; which was ordered to lie on the table; as follows: At the end of subtitle E of title XII, add the following: SEC. 1271. USE OF PRE-EXPOSURE PROPHYLAXIS FOR HIV/AIDS PREVENTION AND MEDICATION. Section 403 of the United States Leadership Against HIV/ AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria Act of 2003 (22 U.S.C. 7673) is amended by adding at the end the following: ``(e) Use of Pre-exposure Prophylaxis for HIV/AIDS Prevention and Medication.--The Secretary of State may use funds appropriated to carry out this Act for pre-exposure prophylaxis for HIV/AIDS prevention and medication for any individual living with HIV/AIDS or at risk of contracting HIV/AIDS.''. ______
