Ms. HIRONO (for herself and Mr. Van Hollen) submitted an amendment intended to be proposed by her to the bill S. 2, to provide for reconciliation pursuant to title II of S. Con. Res. 33; which was ordered to lie on the table; as follows: Strike all after the enacting clause and insert the following: SECTION 1. FUNDING FOR STUDENT SUPPORT AND ACADEMIC ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS. In addition to amounts otherwise available, there is appropriated to the Secretary of Education for fiscal year 2026, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, $2,800,000,000 for carrying out part A of title IV of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 (20 U.S.C. 7101 et seq.). ______
