Mr. DAVIS of North Carolina. Mr. Speaker, we must continue to focus on strengthening our local economy and keeping the American Dream within reach for eastern North Carolina families. Back in October 2024, Johnson & Johnson announced a $2 billion commitment to build a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility for innovative biologics in Wilson, North Carolina, a move that will create 420 good-paying jobs. Most recently, they have announced a second investment: a new drug product manufacturing facility. In addition, Electrolux is investing $23 million to expand its production facility in Kinston, North Carolina, adding 74 new positions to the local workforce. These announcements prove that when we prioritize economic revitalization, we can bring real opportunity back to rural communities that need it most.
