The fifth service academy, the U.S. Coast Guard Academy (USCGA) in New London, CT, does not require a congressional nomination for appointment. Members of Congress may nominate up to fifteen individuals for each vacant academy slot allotted to our district. The deadline for submitting a nomination packet is 11:59 pm on October 16th.
