The application process is open to high school juniors annually and includes a rigorous vetting process. Downing’s office received 19 submissions. Click here to learn more about the academy nomination process. “The size and quality of this year’s applicant pool speak volumes of the patriotism and talent of Montana’s next generation,” said Congressman Downing. “I was proud to see so many young men and women from across the Second District take an interest in our Academies and in service to our country. I wish this year’s nominees and all of our applicants the best of luck in their future endeavors.
