Ms. HIRONO submitted an amendment intended to be proposed to amendment SA 5453 proposed by Mr. Graham to the bill S. 2, to provide for reconciliation pursuant to title II of S. Con. Res. 33; which was ordered to lie on the table; as follows: At the appropriate place, insert the following: SEC. __. APPROPRIATION FOR MATCHING GRANT PROGRAM FOR SCHOOL SECURITY. (a) Reduction in Amounts Appropriated to ICE.-- Notwithstanding section 202, the amount appropriated under that section to U.S. Immigrations and Custom Enforcement shall be $30,075,000,000. (b) Appropriation for DOJ.--In addition to amounts otherwise available, there is appropriated to the Attorney General for fiscal year 2026, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, $1,000,000,000, to remain available until September 30, 2029, to carry out part AA of title I of the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968 (34 U.S.C. 10551 et seq.). ______
