Mr. HICKENLOOPER submitted an amendment intended to be proposed to amendment SA 5453 proposed by Mr. Graham to the bill S. 2, to provide for reconciliation pursuant to title II of S. Con. Res. 33.; which was ordered to lie on the table; as follows: At the appropriate place, insert the following: SEC. ___. APPROPRIATIONS FOR CDC. (a) Reduction in Amounts Appropriated.--Notwithstanding section 202, the amount appropriated under that section shall be reduced by $1,000,000,000. (b) Appropriations for CDC.--In addition to amounts otherwise available, there is appropriated to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for fiscal year 2026, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, $1,000,000,000, to remain available until September 30, 2029, for the purposes of investigating and monitoring infectious disease outbreaks, including on cruise ships. ______
