SHEILA CHERFILUS-McCORMICK of florida in the house of representatives Wednesday, April 15, 2026 Mrs. CHERFILUS-McCORMICK. Mr. Speaker, today I rise to honor the remarkable achievements and inspiring contributions of women at the Women Arise Conference, which took place on Friday, March 27, 2026, at Redeeming Word Church in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. This annual conference celebrates the leadership, faith, and service of women who uplift and strengthen their communities through ministry, mentorship, and civic engagement. It is a testament to the power of women's leadership, spiritual dedication, and the unifying influence of faith in building stronger families and neighborhoods. This year, we proudly recognize a distinguished group of women whose work has impacted countless lives in Broward County and beyond. These remarkable women exemplify dedication, compassion, and service, inspiring others through their commitment to faith, community, and leadership. I include in the Record the following 2026 Women Arise Conference Honorees: Colleen Edwards, Minister Malone Angella Fleming, Lovetta Thomas, Carolyn Powell, H.E. Amb, Dr. Sharon Wiles, Sushana Cole, Danielle Davis, Winsome Robertson Green, Elder Cholla Williamson, Overseer Lady Jacqueline D. Lloyd, Chief Apostle Prelate Dr. Gillian Thompson Biscette, Chief Apostle Janice L. Dillard, Apostle Dr. Sonia B. Lee, Mother Sonia Barnes, Minister Donna Massias, Delores Facey, Elaine Stewart, Norma Russell, Carleen Carla Richards, Pastor Dr. Althea Butler, Samantha Luke Sookraj, and Evangelist Dr. Michelle Richards. These honorees represent the heart of Broward County, exemplifying faith, leadership, and dedication.
