Ms. MURKOWSKI submitted an amendment intended to be proposed by her to the bill S. 4784, to authorize appropriations for fiscal year 2027 for military activities of the Department of Defense, for military construction, and for defense activities of the Department of Energy, to prescribe military personnel strengths for such fiscal year, and for other purposes; which was ordered to lie on the table; as follows: At the end of subtitle A of title VI, add the following: SEC. 604. MODIFICATION OF TRAVEL ALLOWANCE FOR MEMBERS OF THE ARMED FORCES ASSIGNED TO ALASKA. Section 603(b) of the James M. Inhofe National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2023 (Public Law 117-263; 136 Stat. 2620), as amended by section 623 of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2026 (Public Law 119-60; 139 Stat. 909), is further amended-- (1) in paragraph (1), by striking ``to the home of record of the member.'' and inserting the following: ``to-- ``(A) a location in the United States (including a territory or possession of the United States); or ``(B) a location outside the United States if that location is the home of record of the member.''; and (2) in paragraph (2)(A)(i), by striking ``one year'' and inserting ``180 days''. ______
