Mr. LEE (for himself and Mr. Curtis) submitted an amendment intended to be proposed by him to the bill S. 4784, to authorize appropriations for fiscal year 2027 for military activities of the Department of Defense, for military construction, and for defense activities of the Department of Energy, to prescribe military personnel strengths for such fiscal year, and for other purposes; which was ordered to lie on the table; as follows: At the end of subtitle E of title III, add the following: SEC. 358. EXCEPTION TO REQUIREMENT FOR DEPOSIT AND USE OF PROCEEDS FROM LEASES IN CASE OF CERTAIN IN-KIND CONSIDERATION. Section 2667(e)(1)(B) of title 10, United States Code, is amended by adding at the end the following new clause: ``(iii) In-kind consideration accepted with respect to a lease entered into under this section that is held in a Federally-insured deposit account owned by a State or a political subdivision of a State with respect to which the State or political subdivision acts as a trustee for the account with a fiduciary duty to the United States upon such terms as the Secretary approves.''. ______
