Mr. SCHIFF submitted an amendment intended to be proposed to amendment SA 5453 proposed by Mr. Thune (for Mr. Graham) to the bill S. 2, to provide for reconciliation pursuant to title II of S. Con. Res. 33; which was ordered to lie on the table; as follows: At the end of the amendment, add the following: SEC. 204. EXCEPTION TO NON-PROCESSING RELATED FEE FOR H-1B NONIMMIGRANTS WHO WILL BE HEALTH CARE WORKERS. In addition to the exceptions set forth in section 1(c) of the Presidential Proclamation 10973 (90 Fed. Reg. 46027; relating to restriction on entry of certain nonimmigrant workers), which was issued on September 19, 2025, petitions filed on behalf of aliens entering the United States as nonimmigrants described in section 101(a)(15)(H)(i)(b) of the Immigration and Nationality Act (8 U.S.C. 1101(a)(15)(H)(i)(b)) to perform health care services as health care workers in the United [[Page S2630]] States shall not be required to be accompanied or supplemented by the payment of $100,000 otherwise required under section 1(a) of such Proclamation. ______
