Mr. KIM submitted an amendment intended to be proposed by him to the bill S. 2, to provide for reconciliation pursuant to title II of S. Con. Res. 33.; which was ordered to lie on the table; as follows: At the appropriate place, insert the following: SEC. ___. OFFICE OF PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITY OF U.S. IMMIGRATION AND CUSTOMS ENFORCEMENT. In addition to amounts otherwise available, there is appropriated to the Office of Professional Responsibility of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement for fiscal year 2026, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, $205,000,000, of which not less than $40,000,000 shall be allocated to the Office of Detention Oversight. SEC. ___. OFFICE OF IMMIGRATION DETENTION OMBUDSMAN. In addition to amounts otherwise available, there is appropriated to the Office of the Immigration Detention Ombudsman of the Department of Homeland Security for fiscal year 2026, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, $40,000,000.
