Mr. PETERS submitted an amendment intended to be proposed by him to the concurrent resolution S. Con. Res. 33, setting forth the congressional budget for the United States Government for fiscal year 2026 and setting forth the appropriate budgetary levels for fiscal years 2027 through 2035; which was ordered to lie on the table; as follows: At the appropriate place in title IV, add the following: SEC. 4___. SUPERMAJORITY ENFORCEMENT OF UNFUNDED MANDATES IN THE SENATE. Notwithstanding section 904(b) of the Congressional Budget Act of 1974 (2 U.S.C. 621 note), in the Senate, paragraphs (1) and (2) of section 425(a) of the Congressional Budget Act of 1974 (2 U.S.C. 658d(a)) shall be subject to the waiver and appeal requirements of subsections (c)(2) and (d)(3), respectively, of section 904 of the Congressional Budget Act of 1974 (2 U.S.C. 621 note). ______
