Mr. HICKENLOOPER submitted an amendment intended to be proposed by him to the bill S. 2, to provide for reconciliation pursuant to title II of S. Con. Res. 33; which was ordered to lie on the table; as follows: At the appropriate place, insert the following: SEC. __. PROHIBITION ON SETTLEMENT AGREEMENTS PROHIBITING TAX AUDITS OF THE PRESIDENT AND RELATED PERSONS. (a) In General.--Neither the Secretary of the Treasury (or the Secretary's delegate) nor the Attorney General may enter any settlement agreement that prohibits, bars, or precludes the Internal Revenue Service from examining the tax returns of the President, the President's family, or any business affiliated with the President or the President's family. (b) Vitiation of Settlement Agreement Relating to the Taxes of President Trump.--The settlement agreement in Trump v. Internal Revenue Service, announced on May 18, 2026, (including the addendum announced on May 19, 2026) is vitiated and shall have no force and effect. ______
