Ms. ALSOBROOKS submitted an amendment intended to be proposed to amendment SA 5453 proposed by Mr. Thune (for Mr. Graham) to the bill S. 2, to provide for reconciliation pursuant to title II of S. Con. Res. 33.; which was ordered to lie on the table; as follows: At the appropriate place, insert the following: SEC. ___. APPROPRIATION FOR BRIC PROGRAM. (a) Reduction in Amounts Appropriated.--Notwithstanding section 202, the amount appropriated under that section shall be reduced by $3,482,000,000. (b) Appropriation for BRIC.--In addition to amounts otherwise available, there is appropriated to the Administrator of the Federal Emergency Management Agency for fiscal year 2026, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, $3,482,000,000 for assistance under section 203 of the Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act (42 U.S.C. 5133) to reduce the cost of homeowners insurance tied to climate disasters. ______
