Mr. PADILLA submitted an amendment intended to be proposed to amendment SA 5453 proposed by Mr. Graham to the bill S. 2, to provide for reconciliation pursuant to title II of S. Con. Res. 33.; which was ordered to lie on the table; as follows: At the end of title II, add the following: SEC. 204. DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE. (a) Offset.--Notwithstanding section 203 of this title, the amount appropriated to the Secretary of Homeland Security under that section shall be $2,000,000,000. (b) Appropriation.--In addition to amounts otherwise available, there is appropriated to the Attorney General for fiscal year 2026, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, $500,000,000, to remain available until September 30, 2029, for investigatory and prosecutorial efforts against Federal officers or agents for violations of Federal public corruption laws and civil rights while engaging in immigration enforcement activities. ______
