HONORING EARL "SKIP" GINGERICH, JR. Congressional Record, Volume 172 Issue 139 (Wednesday, September 2, 2026) [Congressional Record Volume 172, Number 139 (Wednesday, September 2, 2026)] [House] [Page H5462] From the Congressional Record Online through the Government Publishing Office [ www.gpo.gov ] HONORING EARL ``SKIP'' GINGERICH, JR. (Mr. LANGWORTHY asked and was given permission to address the House for 1 minute and to revise and extend his remarks.) Mr. LANGWORTHY. Mr. Speaker, I rise today to honor the life and the service of Marilla town supervisor Earl ``Skip'' Gingerich, Jr. Skip was a farmer, a patriot, and a man who deeply loved his community. His untimely passing is a profound loss for the people of Marilla. As a lifelong resident, Skip understood what made Marilla special, and he understood that preserving its traditions and rural way of life required work and dedication. I had the honor of joining him at Marilla's America 250 celebration, where he inaugurated a liberty bell as a reminder that freedom is never free. He tended to the town with the same care that he devoted to his third-generation family farm. He was a proud advocate for agriculture and a true steward of the land. Whether at the barn or the town hall, Skip embodied integrity, hard work, faith, and service. My prayers are with his family, his friends, and the entire Marilla community at this difficult time. May God bless Skip Gingerich, and may he rest in peace. ____________________
