RECOGNIZING RECREATIONAL BOATBUILDERS Congressional Record, Volume 172 Issue 139 (Wednesday, September 2, 2026) [Congressional Record Volume 172, Number 139 (Wednesday, September 2, 2026)] [House] [Page H5462] From the Congressional Record Online through the Government Publishing Office [ www.gpo.gov ] RECOGNIZING RECREATIONAL BOATBUILDERS (Mr. DAVIS of North Carolina asked and was given permission to address the House for 1 minute and to revise and extend his remarks.) Mr. DAVIS of North Carolina. Mr. Speaker, as co-chair of the Congressional Boating Caucus, I am so proud to recognize Spencer Yachts, Bayliss Boatworks, and the skilled men and women who keep eastern North Carolina's boatbuilding tradition alive and strong. Boatbuilding is more than an industry. It is part of our coastal heritage, our economy, and our way of life. Visiting these businesses, I saw firsthand the craftsmanship, innovation, and pride that goes into building world-class boats. These companies support good-paying jobs, train skilled workers, and strengthen communities across eastern North Carolina. They also showcase what American manufacturing can accomplish when we protect our coastal economy and preserve our rich maritime heritage. ____________________
