Plain-English Summary

This bill would require the Department of Commerce to conduct outreach and engagement with private companies to explain how the Defense Production Act works and how businesses can participate in national defense manufacturing and supply chain efforts. The goal is to help companies understand their potential role in supporting defense production during emergencies or national security situations. This would mainly affect manufacturers, suppliers, and other businesses that could contribute to defense-related production.
