Plain-English Summary

This bill would likely work to increase access to protein-rich foods for Americans, possibly through programs that subsidize or distribute meat, dairy, eggs, or plant-based proteins to low-income families, schools, or other institutions. It could involve funding for domestic agriculture to boost protein production or changes to existing food assistance programs to prioritize protein-containing foods. The measure would primarily affect food producers, agricultural workers, and families struggling to afford nutritious meals.
