Plain-English Summary

This bill would likely increase criminal penalties and reduce legal protections for people convicted of terrorism-related offenses, making it harder for them to receive reduced sentences or early release. It would affect how federal courts handle terrorism cases and could impact both the prosecution of terrorism suspects and the rights available to defendants in those cases. The bill is currently under review by the House Judiciary Committee.
