The legislation would prevent the U.S. government from sending money to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), an organization that provides aid like food, healthcare, and education to Palestinian refugees across the Middle East. This would affect millions of Palestinians who depend on UNRWA services, as well as U.S. foreign aid policy in the region. The bill is currently under review by the House Committee on Foreign Affairs.
